Change of Watch Dinner Meeting February 25, 2025

We'll have experienced and interesting speakers for the February 25th Change of Watch dinner meeting at the Bluetick Tavern in Maryville. The COW ceremony will be brief so we can enjoy an interesting and entertaining talk by our own Jeff and Barbie Schmitt. Some of what they plan to talk about are surprises that, if you had to explain why these things happen, you might simply say "It's a Boat".  Here's a quick summary of the talk. Boat owners enjoy spending time on the water.  Over time they will have great memories of good times when the weather was good and the cruising plans went smoothly.   However, when the weather is bad or when the going gets rough we can gain “truly valuable” experience.    Jeff and Barbie Schmitt are boaters with over 50 years cruising experience.  They will share some of their “truly valuable” learning experiences from their boating on sail and power boats, including America’s Great Loop.  This is a "don't miss" event, so sign up with John Farmer for your participation and plan to have a very enjoyable evening with friends.  I look forward to seeing you there. Please come out to support the swearing in of your leadership team for 2025. It’s a dinner meeting where you also have time to get caught up with other like-minded boaters and friends. The agenda is:

· Social hour: 6:00PM

· Dinner Cost $25 per person

· Meeting and briefing from officers

· Change of Watch ceremony

· LOCATION: Bluetick Tavern, 128 West Broadway Avenue, Maryville.

PARKING: free spaces are typically available next to the Blue Tick.

SOCIAL HOUR: begins at 6:00 pm, Tuesday 2/25, and the event should end by 9:00.

FARE:

· Salad bar

· Pizza buffet

· Soft drinks and iced tea

· Alcoholic beverages are available (order and pay at the bar)
